THE CHALLENGE
After seeing a rise in disease linked to home chicken flocks, CDC's Division of Foodborne, Waterborne, and Environmental Diseases came to us to help educate novice chicken owners about best practices for sanitation and disease prevention.

What if...
we make keeping backyard chicken coops clean and sanitary seem like fun?
Then we scripted, filmed, and produced CDC Coops, a set of live-action videos featuring educational chicken coop tours in the style of the 1990s series, “MTV Cribs.”

THE RESULTS
We developed a campaign based on lifestyle and geo-targeting. It exceeded industry standards in every category, garnering over 1.2 million impressions and 35,000+ views among people with backyard flocks.
The CDC Coops videos have been watched hundreds of thousands of times, received CDC’s Director’s Award, and won two Telly awards.
