ATL Community Food Bank

Field Trip to the Food Bank

One of the great things about working for a company focused on improving lives? Toiling alongside the kind of people invested in walking the talk. We take our commitment to meaningful client work seriously—same goes for what we do in our down time.

Both Banyan offices routinely raise money and collect canned food to donate to our respective food banks. It’s a relatively quick and easy way to help out folks in need in our local communities.

The ATL team decided to take it a step further recently, by way of an after-hours field trip to the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Instead of dropping off goods for other volunteers to organize and distribute, we lined up to do a bit of the heavy lifting ourselves.

We sorted donations.

We packed boxes.

We flexed our muscles.

We had a good time.

And we created a bit of change for good by sorting a total of 5,226 pounds of food – enough for 4,396 meals.

Not a shabby way to spend an evening.
